Artists series records, 1957-1985.

The collection documents the artists series and contains records of summer arts festivals; performers (orchestras, theater, dance, dance residencies, Pennsylvania ballet, jazz, lecturers, programs and brochures, performance contracts, photographs); films, music, entertainment and artist management correspondence (including the bicentennial opera, "Be Glad Then America"). Also, artists series administration (committee minutes, performing arts course, series musical equipment, miscellaneous correspondence, correspondence with deans, administrators, and staff, auditoriums and buildings), ; surveys by the artists series; and finances (budget correspondence, ticketing, and fund raising).
